Amazon Achieves Faster Delivery Speeds 🐇

Amazon broke their own records last quarter as they delivered the largest selection of products to US prime members at their fastest speeds ever. Deliveries are being made after orders on the same day or the day after. This is thanks to Amazon’s many fulfillment centers. There are over 1,100 in the US alone! Amazon recommends that you take advantage of their speed by sending products to multiple fulfillment centers and practicing good inventory management. Link

“Repetitive Ads Are Annoying!” 😠

A new report from Search Engine Land shows that there is a 16% drop in purchase intent for customers who have seen the same ad six times or more. 68% of participants in the study blame the brand for the repetition rather than the platform. Keep this in mind moving forward when planning your advertising campaigns. Link

New IRS Regulation 💰

The IRS announced that individuals who make more than $600 through third-party platforms (like Amazon) will be required to report their income with a 1099-K tax form. With this happening, less people will be encouraged to pursue Amazon as a simple side hustle and either dedicate more resources to it or leave it alone. As always, be organized with your finances and keep track of all cash moving in and out. Link

Amazon Cuts Down On Private Label Brands ✂️

Amazon is cutting down on private label brands in an effort to save money. They’re discontinuing all but three private label clothing brands. Amazon is also pulling back from their furniture brands. Amazon reports that private label brands only account for 1% of their retail sales. Link
